What it is
Digital terrain and surface models your designers can build on
A terrain model is where survey data becomes design input. We deliver two distinct surfaces: the Digital Surface Model, which includes everything the sensor saw - buildings, trees, plant and equipment - and the Digital Terrain Model, which is the bare earth after all of that is classified out and the gaps interpolated.
The difference matters enormously. Run an earthwork calculation against a DSM and every tree becomes a mound of soil. A surveyor reviews the classification by hand before it goes out, because a wrongly classified surface corrupts every quantity downstream without ever announcing itself.
We export as a TIN surface in LandXML and DWG so it imports directly into Civil 3D as a working surface, plus raster grids for GIS and hydrology tools and a lightweight textured mesh for presentations and client walkthroughs.
What you receive
- Digital Terrain Model (bare earth) as raster and TIN
- Digital Surface Model at matching resolution
- LandXML surface for Civil 3D / Bentley workflows
- Contours and breaklines in DWG/DXF
- Textured 3D mesh (OBJ / glTF) for visualisation
- Cross-sections and long-sections at requested intervals
Indicative from
₹15,000per surface deliverable
Classified DTM plus DSM for a site up to 50 hectares, from existing survey data.
How we deliver it
Our 3d terrain models workflow
Each step exists because skipping it shows up later as an error somebody else has to find.
Point cloud classification
Ground, vegetation, structures and noise separated by algorithm then reviewed and corrected manually.
Breakline extraction
Ridges, toes, kerbs, drains and hard edges digitised so the surface folds where the ground actually folds.
Surface construction
TIN built from ground points plus breaklines, then gridded to your requested resolution.
Datum and geoid handling
Ellipsoidal heights converted to mean sea level using the appropriate geoid model, documented in the metadata.
Design-format export
Delivered in the exact formats your design team uses, tested for clean import before handover.
Where it is used
Typical applications
- Earthwork design and cut/fill optimisation
- Drainage, catchment and flood routing analysis
- Road alignment and corridor design
- Site grading and platform level design
- Visual impact assessment and 3D presentation

Sectors that commission this
DSM is everything the sensor saw including buildings and vegetation. DTM is the bare ground with all of that removed. Use DSM for line-of-sight and clash checks, DTM for earthwork, drainage and design.
Need 3d terrain models on a site?
Send us the site, the area and what the data has to support. We respond within one working day - and if the method you asked for will not hit your accuracy target, we will say so before you commit.
